Hundreds of flights were cancelled at Istanbul in the 2nd week of Jan 2017 causing absolute mayhem not only in the Eurasian city, the airport but also for the thousands of stranded passengers. Fist fights and threats turned the terminal more into a scene from a refugee campsite than an international hub. Seen in this shot is one of Egypt Air's B738s seen taxiing for departure as the airport melted back to some kind of normalcy. IST is ENTIRELY incapable of dealing with even a few inches of snow.
